Limited Lifetime Retrofit Workmanship Warranty
The Promise Is Beneath.
The most important work on your home is often the work you never see.

Beneath the floor, inside the crawlspace, and along the foundation, Calseismic Construction Inc. installs seismic retrofit components designed to strengthen the connection between your home and its foundation. Because this work matters long after installation, eligible seismic retrofit workmanship is backed by our Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty for as long as the original contracting customer owns the property.
This is not just a warranty document.
It is our commitment to stand behind the retrofit workmanship we install.

Built for Confidence
A seismic retrofit is a long-term investment in the safety, strength, and resilience of your home. Most homeowners will never crawl underneath their house to inspect every bolt, plate, clip, strap, or braced wall connection after the work is complete.
That is why Calseismic believes the warranty should be simple, clear, and meaningful.
If there is a covered defect in eligible retrofit workmanship performed by Calseismic, we will come back and address it according to the official written warranty terms. Our goal is to make sure homeowners feel confident not only on the day the project is completed, but years after the work is done.

What “Limited Lifetime” Means
Our Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty remains in effect for as long as the original contracting customer owns the property, subject to the official written warranty terms, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures.

“Limited Lifetime” does not mean the lifetime of the building, the lifetime of future owners, or a guarantee that the home will never experience earthquake damage.
It means Calseismic stands behind eligible retrofit workmanship performed by Calseismic for the original customer’s ownership of the home.

What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers eligible defects in Calseismic’s seismic retrofit workmanship.
Depending on the approved scope of work for the project, this may include eligible workmanship related to Calseismic-installed retrofit components such as foundation bolts, foundation plates, cripple wall bracing, plywood shear panels, hold-downs, clips, straps, transfer ties, blocking, framing, fasteners, and other retrofit components installed by Calseismic.

Coverage is based on the signed construction contract, approved plans, permit documents, change orders, final invoice, and the official written warranty issued for the project.

In simple terms:
If the issue is caused by a covered defect in the retrofit workmanship Calseismic installed, Calseismic stands behind that work.

Post-Earthquake Courtesy Visits
This is where the Calseismic warranty experience is different.
After qualifying earthquakes, Calseismic offers courtesy on-site visits to visually review accessible Calseismic-installed retrofit components.

The purpose of this visit is to give homeowners clarity after a seismic event. Instead of being left to wonder what happened underneath the home, customers can request a visual review of the retrofit components we installed.
The courtesy visit may include a visual review of accessible foundation anchorage, retrofit plates, bracing, plywood shear panels, visible framing connections, and related Calseismic-installed components.

This visit is not a full structural inspection, engineering report, insurance inspection, or guarantee that the home is safe to occupy. It is a courtesy review of accessible retrofit components installed by Calseismic.

Why This Is Convenient
The convenience of this warranty is peace of mind made simple.
You do not have to remember every technical detail of the retrofit. You do not have to wonder who installed what. You do not have to feel alone after an earthquake when the work that matters most is hidden underneath the home.
With CalSeismic, your retrofit is backed by a written warranty, a clear process, and a company that remains connected to the work after completion.

The project is installed.
The warranty is documented.
The workmanship is backed.
And after qualifying earthquakes, Calseismic can return to visually review the retrofit components we installed.
That is the difference between simply completing a project and truly standing behind it.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty is not earthquake insurance, homeowners insurance, structural insurance, or a substitute for insurance.
It does not insure the property against earthquake damage or any other loss. It does not guarantee that the home will not move, crack, settle, shift, or suffer damage during an earthquake.

The warranty does not cover general earthquake damage, pre-existing conditions, work performed by others, foundation deterioration unrelated to Calseismic’s workmanship, water damage, drainage issues, termite damage, dry rot, corrosion, soil movement, landslide, liquefaction, remodeling by others, lack of maintenance, or damage to portions of the property outside Calseismic’s covered scope of work.
Coverage is limited to eligible workmanship performed by Calseismic Construction Inc.

Homeowner Responsibilities
To keep the warranty valid, homeowners are responsible for maintaining the property in a way that helps protect the retrofit work and the structure around it.

This includes maintaining proper drainage, preventing standing water or excessive crawlspace moisture, addressing plumbing leaks, maintaining pest control, keeping reasonable access to covered retrofit areas, and avoiding modifications to Calseismic-installed retrofit components by others.

If covered components are removed, modified, concealed, damaged, or affected by work performed by others, warranty coverage may be limited or voided.

A Clear Warranty Process
If a homeowner believes there may be an issue with Calseismic’s covered retrofit workmanship, the process is simple.

Contact Calseismic in writing, describe the concern, provide photos if available, and allow Calseismic a reasonable opportunity to inspect the condition.

If Calseismic determines that the issue is covered under the official written warranty, Calseismic will address the covered workmanship issue according to the warranty terms.

Our Promise

Calseismic’s Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty exists because we believe homeowners deserve more than a completed project. They deserve confidence in the work beneath their home.

Built beneath your home.
Backed beyond the job.
